Beloved Enemy Chapter 51

The next morning when GuQingPei came downstairs, YuanYang was already waiting for him at the parking lot.

GuQingPei had originally planned to take a taxi, “Your arm is good now? You drove here by yourself?”

“I already drove back home yesterday. This little injury healed a while ago.”

GuQingPei nodded and got in the car. His expression looking usual … as if nothing had happened last night.

In fact, nothing had happened. It’s just that he had forgotten something important, increasing his troubles.

As soon as he got in the car, YuanYang grumbled, “Yesterday my sister was playing on my phone so much it completely drained the battery. My charger is at your home. Do you have a charger in the office? Our phones are the same brand.”

GuQingPei pulled out the charger from his laptop bag and plugged it into the car’s power supply, “I always carry a charger with me. You should also bring one at all times. The phone having no power can hold up things.”

“Got it.”

Before YuanYang started driving, he moved close and softly kissed GuQingPei, smiling, “It seems like I’ve missed you even though I’ve only just seen you yesterday.”

GuQingPei didn’t respond nor did he evade it. He just faintly smiled.

His cell phone automatically booted up once it started charging. Not long after, several SMS messages popped up.

Since the car was stopped in traffic, YuanYang took this time to check his phone. They were all missed calls and text messages from PengFang asking him to go drinking last night.

YuanYang creased his brows. This time he’s going to get grilled by this guy. Sometimes the things PengFang says really makes people want to give him a beating. YuanYang is particularly reluctant to offend him. It’s not because he’s afraid of him, but because he’s annoyed with his endless chattering without getting to the point. Hit him? He can’t seriously hit him. After all, they are like brothers who grew up together. Scold him? He can’t beat him in that, it’s really annoying.

GuQingPei didn’t have to guess and already knew who the missed calls and messages were from. Maintaining his composure, he looked ahead and he didn’t saying anything.

When they arrived at the company, everything was as usual.

YuanYang got him breakfast from the canteen. He (GuQingPei) looked at the news while eating and then started the day’s work. It seems that everything is just as it should be.

After YuanYang finished eating his breakfast, he took care of some of the work GuQingPei delegated to him and completed several application forms since he would be leaving on a business trip to take WangJin and Lawyer Yang to check out the tourism development project in the afternoon and will be staying overnight, not coming back till the following day. He was so busy in the morning that he had completely forgotten to call PengFang back.

GuQingPei originally thought that YuanYang would come by to say something about the matter from last night. He didn’t expect that even after YuanYang had left work at past 3, he didn’t even mention a word to him.

He could hardly describe his mood when YuanYang hugged and kissed him incessantly before leaving for this business trip; it is somewhere between panic and relief, both of which is contradictory and ridiculous.

Is YuanYang planning on pretending that he didn’t know so that he won’t even have to bother explaining?

That’s also good; he is too lazy to deal with it.

Either YuanYang had become smarter or maybe GuQingPei felt that he had underestimated YuanYang.

After YuanYang and Manager Zhang’s car met up with WangJin’s car, they proceeded to the suburbs.

Being on the road for two hours, according to GuQingPei’s request, they were to have dinner first to show WangJin some hospitality and then go to check out the piece of land the next morning. Then come back tomorrow afternoon.

This area has a very nicely located hot spring hotel. Their 2,000-acre land is near the hotel so they chose to stay there.

When they were having dinner, YuanYang didn’t have much to say, forcing Manager Zhang, who was not very good at socializing to entertain their guests. The meal was a bit awkward.

WangJin did not show any dissatisfaction at all. Instead, he made some jokes to lighten the atmosphere making Manager Zhang feel even more embarrassed. Meanwhile, Manager Zhang is grumbling in his heart, complaining that YuanYang’s young master bad temper is quite serious, not a bit mature. He’s a stark contrast from WangJin’s proper and respectable mannerisms.

YuanYang really hated WangJin. So not showing him that grimly expression is already his limit. He can’t be enthused in being hospitable to WangJin.

Anyway, he is just here to take WangJin to see the land. The project planning was mainly explained by Manager Zhang. Just as long as it is not GuQingPei coming with WangJin was all that mattered to him.

After returning to the hotel in the evening, YuanYang had been exhausted for an entire day. He first went to take a shower.

The injury on his arm had not fully healed so it still can’t touch water. As he was trying to carefully shower, his mind would drift to GuQingPei… missing and longing to see him.

Reminiscing of himself taking advantage of GuQingPei with his lewd actions and perverted flirting when they showered together, that feeling felt so good. When YuanYang thought about it, the corners of his mouth would rise.

After taking his shower, YuanYang laid on the bed wanting to call GuQingPei.

Not going home for two consecutive days, YuanYang felt that this is some serious matter. A man not returning home should explain this to his partner (significant other).

He turned on his phone and suddenly remembered that guy PengFang. Sighing, he better call PengFang first.

The phone rang for a long time before it was connected, “Hey? YuanYang?”

“Asshole, where the hell are you?”

“Home. Too lazy to go out in this cold weather. What about you? You’re free now? Why the heck else would you have the time to be calling me?”

“What are you talking about? Last night my little sister was playing on my phone and drained all the battery. I couldn’t go out last night anyway. The two little brats were at my house. I had to babysit. You ask me out but didn’t even bother checking to see if I’m free.”

“Peh! I’ve asked you a few times but you always have this excuse or that excuse. Why is your appearance fee so high, huh? Asking you so many times but you won’t even budge once.”

It wasn’t that YuanYang didn’t want to go hang out with PengFang but mainly because he doesn’t even have a dime in his pocket during this time. Going out would have been a disgrace. Even now, he only has this meager salary. It’s better to stay home and just hug GuQingPei, which made him more happier.

But he hasn’t met up with them for such a long time. Those people should be talking shit about him. He should go out to have a drink and hang out with them.

“I’ve just been busy lately. I’m still on a business trip right now. How about this Saturday?”

“I had wanted to tell you online yesterday about hanging out this Saturday. But your ass only said a few words and took off. Talking to you is too exhausting.”

YuanYang creased his brows, “What are you talking about, I didn’t go online yesterday…..” YuanYang was abruptly petrified.

PengFang snorted, “Then was that a ghost yesterday?”

YuanYang quickly added, “I really didn’t go online last night. Who the fuck did you chat with? What time and what did you talk about?”

PengFang came to realize that he was not joking. He thought about it, “It was sometime after 10pm. If it wasn’t you, then who could it be?”

“How the fuck would I know who it is? In any case, the only one who could touch my laptop is GuQingPei.”

PengFang paused. His breathing became a bit heavy, “Which laptop? My previous one? The one that … has that video?”

“Yes!!” When YuanYang remembered, he almost fell off the bed, “You guys, what did you guys talk about, huh? What did you say?”

PengFang thought back carefully, his heart felt a bit chilling. After all, it wasn’t anything good so he felt a bit guilty. Raising his voice, “Are you fucking stupid?! Why did you leave your laptop in his home and didn’t even set up a password.”

“I’m living with him. My little brother and sister came by so I took them to my home temporarily. Fuck, I should have changed my password. It’s my birthdate. Who would have known that he would…? Fuck. PengFang, what did you actually say to him? Did you mention the video at all!? If you dare mention it, I’m going to fucking kill you!”

PengFang also got very anxious, “You are such a big fool! Who still uses their birthdate as a password in this era? You fucking… Wait, you’re living at his place? Both of you living together? You, you’re really living with him? YuanYang, why the hell are you living with a man? Not to mention that this man is a subordinate Director in your dad’s company. What the hell are you doing?”

The green veins in YuanYang’s forehead protruded as he gnashed his teeth, “Tell me, what did you guys talked about yesterday!”

When PengFang remembered their conversation, the scalp on his head got numb.

  1. I know it’s just a misunderstanding that will make their situation worse probably but inside I’m floating at YY’s misfortune. I think he deserves some slapping and need to to actually do some real Labor to chase his ‘Wife’.

And about he video – it’s still delayed, huh. I guess if GQP finds out this time he would immediately stop all contact together…. so he will find out at a later date when it’s already too late to leave YY. 🤔
