YuanYang pretended to casually sit up while wearing his pants in front of GuQingPei and telling him, “An old friend that my dad didn’t like.”

GuQingPei turned over and also sat up on the bed, silently looking at YuanYang.

He didn’t know why but he felt that once YuanYang walk out of this door, they would never be back to how they are.

This kind of premonition made his heart constricted. He opened his mouth but couldn’t say anything in the end.

YuanYang turned his head back and gave him a wide smile, exposing his row of white teeth.

GuQingPei forcefully smiled, “Hurry up and go. Your family is waiting for you to eat with them.”

YuanYang walked forward to give him a kiss, “I’ll just eat a little and come back. Wait for me to eat crabs?”

“Okay.” GuQingPei grabbed his collar and kissed him intensely, “Go.”

“Wait for me. I’ll be back quickly.” YuanYang got dressed and gave GuQingPei a few kisses. The lingering haze in his heart made him feel uneasy. He (YuanYang) could imagine what he would be facing when he returns to his family home so he didn’t want to leave this home.

GuQingPei faintly smile looking at him, his expression appearing normal to give YuanYang peace of mind.

After YuanYang quickly left, GuQingPei also got dressed and went to the kitchen. Seeing the crab that was halfway cooked, he should still finish cooking it. Don’t need to waste food even though he knew that YuanYang would not come back to eat today.

GuQingPei pressed one hand on the table, another hand covering his eye.

The moment YuanYang stepped into his family home, he sensed a depressive atmosphere.

His younger brother and sister were sitting in the living room, seemingly waiting for him. Both children’s expressions were somber.

YuanYing timidly said, “Big brother, dad and mom got into an argument, dad say he’s waiting for you in the study.”

“Oahhh,” YuanYang rubbed her head, “Don’t be scared. This has nothing to do with the both of you. YuanGeng, take her back to her room.”

YuanGeng nodded and stood up but didn’t walk toward his sister. Instead, he walk forward to stand next to YuanYang, lowering his voice, “There is something that mom doesn’t know. Dad refuses to tell her so they got into an argument. I’m guessing that this have something to do with you. So…..you also don’t tell mom.”

YuanYang reluctantly smiled, “I know….go back to your room.”

After the two kids went back to their rooms, YuanYang went upstairs. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door to the study.

“Come in,” Chairman Yuan’s gloomy voice sounded across the door.

YuanYang pushed the door and entered, “Dad.”

YuanLiJiang was standing in front of the window. He slowly turned around and looked at him, “These past few days, you stayed with GuQingPei?”

YuanYang nodded, “Yes.”

“Bastard, you turned a deaf ear to the words I say.”

YuanYang lifted his head to look directly at his father, “Dad, I like him, I don’t intend to be separated from him.”

“Bullshit! He, GuQingPei is a man!”

YuanYang lowly responded “I know, but I still like him.”

YuanLiJiang was so enraged that he was shaking.

YuanYang took a deep breath, “Dad, my temperament had always been like this. Making you angry all these years. I was never considerate of you. I’m sorry.”

Hearing these words coming out of YuanYang’s mouth, YuanLiJiang was so shocked that his eyeballs are popping out.

“I can listen to you on anything going forward. Whatever you want me to learn, I will learn it. But only with this, I can’t promise you. I just like him. I will only be with him, nobody else.”

YuanLiJiang carefully recalled a bit. Perhaps this is the first time YuanYang had ever given in.

The father-son relationship is not considered to be bad but they are not close. He also has a very stubborn temperament. Both men are unwilling to concede. He and YuanYang never seemed to agree on anything so they had always been contentious. No matter how much he beat and scold YuanYang, YuanYang would never show his weaknesses.

Now for a man, YuanYang is bowing down to him. As a father, YuanLiJiang is full of complex feelings.

It has to be mentioned that since he entrusted YuanYang to GuQingPei’s care, this child had matured tremendously in less than a year’s time. Unfortunately, what GuQingPei had accomplished is far from offsetting his faults to be considered a success.

YuanYang expressionlessly responded, “Dad, I don’t want to make you angry, but in this matter, I will not retreat even one step. Whether you agree or not, I can’t do anything about it but I will not be separated from GuQingPei.”

YuanLiJiang gritted teeth, “How could I have given birth to you? Where are your traits that our family’s descendants should have?”

YuanYang lowered his head, “Dad, sorry.”

“You are to stay home these few days. You’re not allowed to go out.”

YuanYang’s expression had a hint of hesitation.

“So what? Didn’t you say that you will listen to me from now on?”

YuanYang looked up, “Then are you agreeing…?”

“That depends on your performance.” YuanLiJiang glared at him, “Your mom does not know about this. I didn’t want to tell her my reason for firing GuQingPei so we got into an argument. If she fucking knows about this, you can think of the consequences.”

“On mom’s side, I’ll explain to her.”

YuanLiJiang pointed at his nose, “You say less and mustn’t tell her anything. These few days you just stay home and reflect on yourself. I’m also not going to look after you. If you need to run out and about, then it proves that you have not grown up a bit.”

YuanYang lowered his eyes, “I will stay at home, but after the holidays I’m going to go find him.”

YuanLiJiang heavily sneered, “Go back to your room.”

YuanYang firmly said, “Dad, don’t go cause any troubles for GuQingPei. I can promise you anything, but you definitely can’t harm GuQingPei in any way.”

YuanLiJiang smirked, “Looking at you like this, do you think you can talk to me about conditions? Besides using physical violence, what else can you do? Take LiuQiang’s matters into consideration, if QinZe didn’t stop you, wouldn’t you have fucking killed someone? YuanYang, when you do something, it’s always on impulse. You never think about it carefully. Think about this…you only think about yourself, you don’t think about your parents’ worries nor did you think of your siblings needing you to set a good example. You only think about yourself, whether or not you are happy, or comfortable and act according to that. You are this kind of person. I really can’t understand how GuQingPei can like you! He has worked so hard in Beijing for so many years, what kind of people have he not seen? What do you think he sees in you? Because you look good? Beijing is such a big city, there are a ton of people who looks good. I’m telling you clearly, if your surname isn’t “Yuan,” and if you weren’t mine, YuanLiJiang’s son, you think he’ll give you a second glance?! You still feel that you’re good, you’re fucking stupid!”

YuanYang’s face slightly changed, YuanLiJiang’s words are like a few slaps on his face.

He really does not have the capital to talk to his father about conditions. His father is right, he is really nothing right now. He had always thought that he would just continue to live happily and carelessly the rest of his life, without any restraints or needing or wanting anything. But he had come to realized that, only at a time when he desperately wanted something, he can’t do anything else besides using brute force.

YuanLiJiang looked at him resentfully, “If you want to talk conditions with me, you need to first put yourself at the same level before saying anything. Otherwise, what you say is just bullshit.” YuanLiJiang fiercely glared at him, then glanced away.

YuanYang sat motionless in the study, not sleeping for the entire night.

The next morning, GuQingPei listlessly awakened with black circles around his eyes.

Although he didn’t expect YuanYang to come back, his heart was still unable to calm down. He kept tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep all night.

Just as he was doing nothing idling around, the doorbell rang.

Hardly anyone ever comes to GuQingPei’s home, so he immediately jumped from the couch thinking that maybe YuanYang forgot to bring his keys as he hurriedly left yesterday…….

He rushed to open the door, but what he saw was YuanLiJiang standing outside with a solemnly serious face.

GuQingPei had an impulse to close the door, but in the end he opened it and respectfully said, “Chairman Yuan.”

YuanLiJiang stepped into the house, “I thought I wouldn’t be coming here again.”

GuQingPei looked up and expressed calmly, “Chairman Yuan, I know that YuanYang and I are not suited for each other, we will break up.”

GuQingPei felt that he should not continue to go down this wrong path.

“How do you plan to breakup?” YuanLiJiang was being overbearing.

I recently acquired a water conservancy energy project in Canada. The salary is three times here and the environment is also very good, very suitable for you.”

Leave the country?

His home is here, his family, friends, work, his social networks… all are here. Why would he leave the country? He never thought of doing that.

GuQingPei looked directly at YuanLiJiang’s eyes; the two people silently concentrated to see if there is a trace of anything in each other’s eyes.
