Beloved Enemy Chapter 93

GuQingPei calmed down. He pressed the button to open the elevator doors that was just closed automatically. Looking at YuanYang, he gloomily voiced, “Get out.”

“You still owe me a meal. Go to my house now and personally cook me a meal, then we can call this even.”

GuQingPei smiled sarcastically, “YuanYang, what the hell do you want? You already have a girlfriend and said that you won’t mess with me anymore. But you want me to go to your home and cook for you? Do you think this is even appropriate?”

YuanYang’s eyebrows raised, “It is appropriate. If you don’t do it today, I’m going to go to your company again next time. In any case, if I don’t get a meal out of you, you still owe it to me.”

GuQingPei narrowed his eyes. Suddenly he gave a light laugh, “YuanYang, could it be that you want to have sex with me? Even though I “obviously look old,” and you’ve had your fill before, you’re still a little curious about the taste, is that it?”

YuanYang’s lips trembled slightly. Trying really hard to suppress this feeling of suffocation, he reached out his hand to clasp onto GuQingPei’s chin and indecently responded, “Yes.”

“It’s a pity that I don’t want to. What are you going to do about it? Rape me? Just like before?”

YuanYang gritted his teeth and hoarsely uttered, “You really think that you’re an attractive god? If I, YuanYang, want, I can get any young and beautiful men and women. Are you even worth it?”

Gripping pain swelled in GuQingPei’s heart. He grinned and smiled, “Hearing you say this, I am relieved. Fine, let’s go. I’ll cook for you. Then, I won’t owe you this meal.” He lifted his foot out of the elevator.

YuanYang clenched his fist, resisting the dark impulses in his body.

YuanYang’s home is very well-lit. Entering the living room, one can see the bright light spreading out with its reflection on the wooden floors, warm and bright.

GuQingPei’s slender fingers started to loosen his tie, slightly raising his chin to gently remove it. His perfect side profile along with his casual movements reveal such killer sex appeal. YuanYang, looking at his movements from the side, really wanted to strip him naked.

GuQingPei folded his tie and slipped it into the pocket of his pants. Then, he rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, “I’ll cook whatever foods you have in the kitchen.”

YuanYang did not say anything as he followed GuQingPei into the kitchen.

GuQingPei took out the ingredients from the refrigerator and started to prep the food. He kept his back to YuanYang, not saying anything.

YuanYang leaned on the door and looked at GuQingPei’s back.

At this moment, he felt that GuQingPei would turn around in the next second and look toward him with a warm smile, then ask him to, “Go take the fish out.” Just like before.

Then, he would walk over and put his face on GuQingPei’s shoulder, holding his waist to embrace him from behind and say that he doesn’t want to eat fish.

Then, they will start chatting about mindless things.

But he knew that all this is impossible.

From the day that this man left him, all this is no longer possible.

Staring at GuQingPei’s back, his eyes turned red.

GuQingPei lowered his head and slowly chopped the green onions in his hands. He could feel someone’s line of sight gazing behind him. This line of sight carried with it such strong intensity, burning his back. He slowly lost his focus, slicing the knife down, his finger started to bleed.

GuQingPei instinctively gave his injured finger a shake, then without any expression, put it under the faucet and turn on the water to flush the blood away.

The wound was somewhat deep. He was still bleeding even after flushing for a while.

He couldn’t feel the pain, but he could not continue to chop vegetables with his finger bleeding profusely.

Just as he was looking for something to put pressure on his finger, YuanYang had already grasped his hand, “Are you stupid? You think using water can stop the bleeding?”

“This little blood need to be stopped?” GuQingPei pulled his hand back and used a paper towel to wrap around the wound, “I’ll chop it (vegetables) later.”

YuanYang’s hand went round his lower back.

GuQingPei subconsciously tried to evade YuanYang’s hands.

YuanYang reach his hand out to steady his waist, staring at him coldly. Under GuQingPei’s cautious gaze, he untied his apron and put it on himself, “Go to the living room.”

GuQingPei was stunned, then he saw that YuanYang had already turned around and started chopping the vegetables. His skills are far better than him.

GuQingPei continued to glance at YuanYang’s back. For a while, his heart welled up with pain.

Looking at YuanYang’s back as he’s diligently cooking in the kitchen is a scene so deeply ingrained in GuQingPei’s memory… so deep that it could never be erased in his life.

He never thought that he would still have the chance to see it again.

Just as he was in a daze, YuanYang suddenly stopped his actions and turned sideways to look at him, the contours of his high bridge nose is clearly visible.

GuQingPei lowered his eyes. Then turned and walked to the living room.

After a while, the food is ready.

GuQingPei looked at YuanYang coming and going, bringing the foods from the kitchen. All this is so familiar, as if they had returned to the ambiance of the past. Not being able to stand this any longer, GuQingPei opened his mouth to say, “You chose to do this, so you can’t turn around to say that I still owe you a meal.”

YuanYang’s hand froze. He immediately lifted his head and mockingly smiled, “What you owe me, you think it’s just this meal?”

GuQingPei furrowed his eyebrows, “YuanYang, don’t say irresponsible words. When did I owe you anything?”

YuanYang looked at him fiercely, “I’ll let you know sooner or later.”

GuQingPei’s face turned paled. He felt that bickering with YuanYang over who owed who is meaningless. If it really needs to be calculated, then how to quantify what that he had lost? Might as well cast it all away cleanly. He doesn’t want to live in the past.

However, he did not expect that YuanYang would dare say that he owed him? This has got to be the biggest joke ever.

After the meal is set on the table, YuanYang said in an almost commanding tone, “Come and eat.”

GuQingPei gritted his teeth and sat down on the dining table.

The two sat directly face to face across from each other, the distance is so close that GuQingPei can clearly see YuanYang’s delicate and tight skin. This is really the condition of young people. GuQingPei couldn’t help but think.

He also remembered the words that YuanYang said that day. He said that he “obviously looks old.” GuQingPei felt that this is all too funny. He’s already 35 years old, of course he’s going to look old, and he will get older and older every year.

YuanYang is still in his prime. Following the passage of time and accumulation of his experiences, he will eventually cast aside his youthful thoughtless impulses, becoming more and more attractive.

It is no wonder that YuanYang would start to look down on him.

GuQingPei smiled and laughed at himself, then he started to eat.

YuanYang asked, “What have you been doing the past two years?”

GuQingPei paused. In an unusually peaceful calm tone, he started to talk about his work in Singapore.

YuanYang listened attentively and suddenly asked, “What about you and WangJin?” He had already tried to make his voice sound calm and indifferent, but he couldn’t help his body from trembling slightly.

If he hears the answer that he does not want to hear…

GuQingPei responded lightly, “Not a good fit.”

YuanYang’s heart stopped trembling, “Then what about other people?” In fact, in the past two years, he always had someone watch (spy) over GuQingPei. Many of things that GuQingPei’s did, he was very much well aware. But he stilled wanted to hear it directly from GuQingPei, wanting to know what else he might have missed.

GuQingPei responded softly, “It has nothing to do with you, right?”

An obscured fire ball started rising up in YuanYang’s chest. He amusingly voiced, “Even if you don’t say, I can guess. Director Gu is such a ladies man, how could you not have screw around?” (other words – flings, etc).

GuQingPei made no comment. In the last two years, he knew himself how much he had “screwed around.” He also knew that YuanYang most definitely did.

But what’s the point of saying this?

GuQingPei’s unspoken but implied response made YuanYang even more angry. He had endured and restrained himself for two years, all for today, to be able to stand strongly in front of GuQingPei. Who GuQingPei had been with in the last two years had always been a question he deliberately avoided.

However, he will have to confront this question sooner or later, especially since GuQingPei is now physically standing right in front of him…not in pictures secretly taken from afar. Now he definitely needs to know clearly.

However, he knew that GuQingPei would not bother to tell him.

It doesn’t matter. He will sooner or later get the answer from this mouth.

He had been lying dormant for two years…for the day that he could see GuQingPei again, setting up an inescapable net so that GuQingPei would have no way to escape.
