Beloved Enemy – Chapter 10-18 Summaries

Chapter 10

• The chapter starts with the time going a bit backyard. GuQingPei finishes dinner with ZhaoYuan and takes her home.
• ZhaoYuan informs GuQingPei that she had met a man (boyfriend) and GuQingPei is happy for her.
• GuQingPei’s relationship with men is discussed. He had tried to be involved in relationships with other men but they were done all under secrecy due to his initial struggle with the realization of his sexual orientation.
• He had confessed to his parents of the reasoning for his divorce. His sexual orientation is disclosed to them and his parents are understanding and accepting.
• GuQingPei had come to accept himself as a gay man and had a few lovers that came and went.
• On this night, upon hearing about his ex-wife’s relationship, he also felt lonely. So he decided to go to a gay bar to relax and also see if he could find a boy to his liking for a one-night stand.
• The bartender helped GuQingPei find a suitable boy of his “type.”
• This young boy is 21 years old, a student and is a money boy (male prostitute).
• They had an agreement and decided to go to a hotel to spend the night.
• The two head to GuQingPei’s car but suddenly YuanYang appears and flings the boy to the side.
• GuQingPei wanted to take the boy and leave but YuanYang adamantly refuse to let GuQingPei get into his own car. They get into some verbal sarcasm spat.
• YuanYang knew exactly what GuQingPei was up to.
• GuQingPei is also aware that YuanYang now know of his sexual orientation.
• YuanYang makes it sound as though GuQingPei belongs to him and shoves the boy away.
• The boy got scared and flees.

Chapter 11

• After the boy leaves, GuQingPei and YuanYang has got into more mocking, satirical, verbal spat where GuQingPei essentially tells YuanYang that if he was planning on using this to threaten him, he might as well save it and even dares YuanYang to spread the news that he’s gay, calling YuanYang a coward.
• YuanYang is furious and storms off.
• GuQingPei considers his current situation having YuanYang find out about sexual his orientation and is a bit worried.
• GuQingPei goes home in a bad mood. He is determined to show YuanYang that he didn’t care about this matter to prevent YuanYang from using it to threaten him.
• Meanwhile YuanYang goes back into the bar and his friends realize his darkened gloomy mood.
• PengFang ask him out for a chat. YuanYang told PengFang that the person he saw earlier was his boss, GuQingPei who has been trying to suppress him to no end.
• PengFang asked YuanYang what he plans to do upon finding out that said boss is gay.
• YuanYang plans on finding a money boy to do a short (porno) film with GuQingPei.
• PengFang offers up YuanYang himself for the role, which pisses YuanYang off.
• YuanYang’s viewpoint of homosexuality is provided. While he’s not adverse to homosexuality, he can’t see himself being gay.
• PengFang kept fanning the flames, evening giving YuanYang the twisted thought that GuQingPei might be into him (YuanYang). He asked YuanYang if GuQingPei had looked at him any different or had any questionable behaviors toward him.
• Now YuanYang felt disgusted, wondering if GuQingPei was having weird thoughts the time he was sleeping in the break room and the way GuQingPei might have glanced at him.

Chapter 12

• GuQingPei stayed home and didn’t go out for rest of the weekend, having felt restless with YuanYang’s issues.
• Comes Monday, GuQingPei comes downstairs to find an enraged YuanYang waiting for him.
• YuanYang is furious because his dad had cut off his finances and YuanYang knew that it was GuQingPei who had convinced his dad to do so. GuQingPei is a bit frightened.
• YuanYang got a hammer out of his car and smashes it onto GuQingPei’s Porsche.
• GuQingPei helplessly watches as YuanYang unleashes his wrath on his car, completely destroying it.
• Security runs over and intends to call the police but GuQingPei waves him off then tells YuanYang that he’ll send the bill to YuanLiJiang.
• Seeing YuanYang continuously smashing his car, GuQingPei’s state of mind is affected and realizes that he can’t push YuanYang any further because YuanYang can be so easily provoked, yet can retaliates with such violence.
• After YuanYang had completed vented his furor, they head to work.
• YuanYang is a proud person, having admitting to GuQingPei that he’s given up all his money and won’t borrow from anyone. GuQingPei dares to see how he’ll pass his days without money.
• They attend the office meeting where GuQingPei voices the company rules that YuanYang had violated and instructs to have his salary deducted as punishment according to the policies.
• GuQingPei calls YuanLiJiang and eloquently has a chat with him that ultimately led to him informing YuanLiJiang that YuanYang had smashed his car.
• YuanLiJiang is obviously furious at his son. GuQingPei smiles at himself.

Chapter 13

• Workday continues with YuanYang not bothering GuQingPei. GuQingPei was quite happy about that.
• GuQingPei realizes the policies that he’s instated might not be effective on YuanYang.
• Afternoon comes, GuQingPei intends to take a nap so changed into his pajamas just as YuanYang barges in.
• GuQingPei is in underwear when YuanYang sees him. YuanYang notices a difference between a dressed up GuQingPei and undressed GuQingPei. GuQingPei seems to not have that domineering mannerism when he’s not dressed in a suit.
• GuQingPei naturally asked YuanYang what he’s doing in his break room.
• YuanYang is starting to have odd thoughts in his mind, thoughts of GuQingPei’s body.
• YuanYang felt humiliated that he’s being suppressed by a person like GuQingPei, who is gay, and not only that, but a gay that could be a bottom.
• YuanYang came to complain to GuQingPei. Obviously after GuQingPei talked to YuanLiJiang, YuanLiJiang had called his son and berated him.
• GuQingPei tells YuanYang to leave but YuanYang refuses and instead tells him that he also intends to nap in this break room.
• YuanYang intends to remove his shirt, but after knowing GuQingPei is gay, he buttons it back up and lies on the bed.
• GuQingPei asks if he’s worried that he will check him out then proceeds to tells him that he didn’t have to worry because YuanYang is not his type.
• Again, YuanYang becomes enraged, even trying to find out whether GuQingPei is top or bottom, but GuQingPei refused to tell him.
• YuanYang finds GuQingPei to be disgusting but GuQingPei could care less.
• GuQingPei also gets into the bed and decides to nap.
• Both men were unwilling to concede so both ended on the bed, trying not to touch the other.
• YuanYang fantasizes how GuQingPei could be fucked by other men. This consumes his mind. He becomes extremely curious to see how GuQingPei would change from his normal hypocritical look to how he would look when climaxing during sex.

Chapter 14

• GuQingPei naps while YuanYang wonders how GuQingPei could actually sleep and not have any reaction being in the same bed with him. YuanYang himself couldn’t sleep.
• YuanYang reaches over GuQingPei to turn off the light but instead loses balance and ends up leaning on top of GuQingPei. GuQingPei naturally tries to push him off.
• GuQingPei gets hard. Some more bickering and YuanYang gets angry and storms off.
• GuQingPei couldn’t continue with his nap, having been turned on, likely caused by his lack of sexual activity.
• GuQingPei becomes frustrated with YuanLiJiang and his situation.
• GuQingPei heads out to a meeting while YuanYang is missing in action.
• Later, GuQingPei returns to find YuanYang in his office and realizes that YuanYang likes hanging out in his office.
• GuQingPei decides to give YuanYang some work to do but YuanYang asked if he felt guilty for getting hard and whether he jerked himself off.
• YuanLiJiang calls to send GuQingPei on a business trip to HangZhou and asks that he brings YuanYang along with him.
• GuQingPei is angry having to bring YuanYang along.
• Arrangements are made for them to go to Hangzhou and for YuanYang to stay in the room with the manager.
• YuanYang finally realizes the hardship of not having money because he can’t even afford to get his own room.
• YuanYang calls PengFang and informs him of their business trip to Hangzhou and ask him to find a money boy to start the plan he had in mind.

Chapter 15

• Having a plan in mind, YuanYang acts obediently, which had GuQingPei thinking how great it would be if YuanYang could always be like that.
• Unfortunately their relationship is always tumultuous and hostile with YuanYang being unwilling to concede at any time, while GuQingPei would naturally adjust his himself for the sake of the situation.
• PengFang informs YuanYang that he had found the suitable candidate (money boy) for the task. PengFang intends to have GuQingPei drugged.
• Initially YuanYang is against using drugs but is convinced by PengFang.
• YuanYang is curious who is going to get fucked, GuQingPei or the money boy.
• YuanYang intends to use this plan to defeat GuQingPei and get rid of him once and for all.
• They leave for Hangzhou.
• YuanYang is being treated as if he’s really GuQingPei’s assistant, having to bring his luggage and fold his clothes.
• YuanYang is furious having to resort to serving GuQingPei and more bickering ensues.
• They arrive at Hangzhou.
• After work, the staff that came along was given time to spend leisurely in Hangzhou.
• GuQingPei plans on finding a one-night stand.
• YuanYang and PengFang goes to GuQingPei’s room. GuQingPei is introduced to PengFang.
• YuanYang and PengFang start the plan and have GuQingPei followed, while at the same time, they called the money boy.
• GuQingPei goes to a gay bar, trying to find his one-night stand. A money boy comes to him. They hit it off and heads off to a hotel.

Chapter 16

• GuQingPei and the money boy arrive at the hotel and GuQingPei goes to take a shower.
• It turns out this was the money boy that was hired by PengFang.
• The money boy goes out the room to meet YuanYang and PengFang, who are in another room and they proceed with the plan in giving the pinhole camera to the money boy to record the “act” the room.
• The money boy is scared and uncertain, wanting to forget the entire thing.
• YuanYang questioned PengFang whether this money boy could have some disease and whether he’s a top or bottom. PengFang obviously doesn’t know and wonders why YuanYang would care.
• YuanYang was also feeling uneasy but annoyed at the same time that GuQingPei could be subdued by a man but he had to suffer under him.
• Meanwhile, GuQingPei comes out of the shower. The money boy feels guilty for having to do what he was going to do.
• GuQingPei has an inkling that the money boy will run.
• Wine is delivered to the room. GuQingPei’s glass of wine has been drugged.
• The money boy is freaked out and ran out to call PengFang informing him that he can’t find a suitable spot to place the camera.
• The money boy wants to run away.
• The money boy comes back to the room to find GuQingPei thrashing in bed from the effects of the drug. He was given a very strong aphrodisiac.
• GuQingPei realizes that he’s been drugged and curses at the money boy, who ends up grabbing his clothes and flees.
• GuQingPei who had been ignited with lust had no idea what was going on as he writhed in bed.
• Realizing that the money boy might have been incapable, YuanYang complains to PengFeng for doing such a shitty job and decides to go into GuQingPei’s room and tie him up, then record whatever he wanted.
• YuanYang goes into GuQingPei’s room and sees a figure in bed with his robe lose, exposing half of his body, looking very uncomfortable.
• GuQingPei’s body is burning hot. He opens his eyes and their gazes meet.

Chapter 17

• GuQingPei recognizes that it is YuanYang in his room, but feels extremely shameful, having only been able to weakly and pathetically hold his bathrobe to cover himself.
• Upon seeing YuanYang, GuQingPei realizes that he is the mastermind behind this.
• YuanYang is in shock seeing GuQingPei looking so sexually seductive and erotically desirable and continues to stare at him.
• GuQingPei is feeling even more shameful and curses for YuanYang to get out of his room.

• YuanYang realizes that GuQingPei had actually fainted and was having a fever.
• YuanYang orders new bedding and calls PengFang to get a doctor.
• YuanYang tries to clean GuQingPei up and wipes him with a warm towel.
• YuanYang gazes at GuQingPei while waiting for a the doctor and feels arouse just looking at him. He even fantasizes putting his cock in GuQingPei’s mouth.
